These terms govern your use of Mobyrip. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
Mobyrip is a sports card reference: a catalog of cards and printings, a registry of individual physical copies and where they have been seen, and tools for tracking your own collection.
Mobyrip is in early development and is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Catalog data may be incomplete, incorrect, restructured, or removed as the catalog matures. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for a purchase, sale, insurance claim, or valuation.
You need an account to follow players, track a collection, or contribute to the registry. You must provide a working email address, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. What deletion does — and does not — remove is described in section 4.
When you report a sighting, upload a photo of a card, or claim a copy, you are adding to a shared public record. You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant Mobyrip a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to store, display, and distribute it as part of the registry, and to let others view it on the site.
By submitting, you confirm that:
Editors review submissions and claims. We may reject, correct, re-attribute, or remove any contribution — including for accuracy reasons alone.
Deleting your account does not delete the sightings you reported or the photos backing them. This is deliberate, and it is the most important thing on this page.
A sighting is a fact about a card, not about you: that a particular serial-numbered copy surfaced, on a date, with evidence. The registry's value is that this history is durable. If any one person leaving could erase their contributions, a card's provenance would silently rewrite itself for everyone else.
When you delete your account:
If you have a specific concern about a particular photo — for example it identifies you, or you did not have the right to submit it — contact us and we will remove it.
Don't:
Checklist facts — card numbers, player names, set structures — are factual information and are not claimed as our property. Our compilation, structure, corrections, and the registry itself are ours.
Mobyrip is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any card manufacturer, league, players association, grading company, or marketplace. Trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. If you hold rights to material on Mobyrip and believe it is used improperly, contact us and we will review it promptly.
Price information reflects observed listings and sales from external sources. It may be stale, incomplete, or wrong. It is not an appraisal, an offer, or investment advice. Mobyrip is not a party to any transaction between collectors, and links to external marketplaces may be affiliate links.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, particularly for falsified registry data — the integrity of the record is the product. You may stop using Mobyrip and delete your account at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mobyrip is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from reliance on catalog data, registry entries, or price information.
We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be posted here with a new date at the top, and significant changes affecting your contributions will be communicated to registered users.
